WELCOME

to the home of the video and audio works of me, Ian Cudmore.

I've been involved in editing and making video and audio work for well over a decade now, for both broadcast and web, with a bunch of different people and companies, as well as my own.

I’m also a lecturer in TU Dublin Blanchardstown.

Do look around and feel free to get in touch.

more and more lately I’m enjoying the return to audio work…

Here’s a selection of audio specific projects, both with the maestro donal dineen …

Make Me an Island

Country by country, from one energy explosion to the next, Dónal Dineen presents an illustrated guide to the musical universe.

We Are The Makers

We Are The Makers is an audio documentary series focusing on the work of contemporary Irish artists and their practice.

I started making videos in 2005 in college, where i went to learn how to make music come out of computers..

i fell into filming music thanks to james yorkston taking a punt on me and bringing me over to wales to make an epk for his now classic ‘the year of the leopard’album. he didn’t know who i was. i didn’t know what an epk was. i was just sending a hero a college project via myspace in the hopes he might see and like it…

such good memories from that time, and so many good lessons. no.1, always ask. no.2, always say yes.

Through james I met donal dineen and went on to follow him everywhere i could with camera in hand. so much footage never got edited. I went on to start my own production company ‘chutney films’ in 2009 and split my time between personal projects and working as an editor for a number of dublin based companies.
